Bakken Millwright & Design provides equipment, design, and installation services for the grain handling, processing, and cleaning industry.

Owner Jon Bakken started out working in a warehouse loading trailers for a slip form construction company in 1996.  From there he learned drafting and estimating and continued to work project managing and drawing slipform elevators. 

In 2004, he went to work for a company that manufactured drag, belt, and vibratory conveyors along with bucket elevators and pollution control systems.  He helped customers with design and pricing of equipment to meet their needs.  He also worked on developing equipment lines, making them more efficient and cost effective to build and assemble.

In 2010 he went to work for a millwright company designing and building grain cleaning facilities.  He worked with the customer to design the plants to meet there specifications and requirements.  He also worked alongside the crews putting in the equipment to make the final product as efficient, user friendly, and gentle handling as possible.
